I loved, loved, loved your article on invisible pain. I am 52 years old woman diagnosed with Sickle Cell Anemia “SS” in 1963 at the Cleveland clinic Ohio. I was the first case diagnosed in Little Rock, AR treated at Arkansas Children’s Hospital SCD it is the most painful disease ever. I’ve had doctor’s tell me you don’t look like anything is wrong until the draw blood send it to the lab. Suddenly realizing my pain is real. Then pumping me with pain med’s and fluids to stop the pain.
